Okay lets see if this works, here are the first pictures of our home.
The first one was taken around the 8th of June, and the second one was taken on the 16 of June. It has been raining a lot so not a lot has been done up there. We are having a friend taking the pics for us every Sunday, so I will keep everyone informed

SUMMER IS HERE!

I know, one month!! Those last few weeks of school burned me out. Though I have to say I miss all the activities, I find mmyself twiddling my thumbs. Unfortunatly the whole purpose of us staying throught he summer, was the pool, and of course the pool has not even open yet. :Let me tell all of you military families out there, once your housing goes privitized, it is time to get out! They had the whole winter, and in Texas you really can't call what we have a real winter, to fix the pool. So we are stuck with the hundred degree temps and no pool!!
I also have realized that I haven't shared with all of you that we have bought a house!! We are going to be moving to South Dakota, and we are going to be there at least 5 years. So we have found a house, right off base, and no it isn't a manufactured home, they have started building a lot of newer homes just east of the School, and we are having a home built for us! It is less then a mile from the school and so we can walk to school. It is a huge house, with a huge lot! It is even at the end of a cul-de-sac. You know the checklist that you have, with everything you want in a house. We I would say that 99% of the list is checked off. These are some of the pics of what the house looks like now. It has a walk out basement, and 4 bedrooms and 3 baths, So there is going to be plenty of room for anyone that wants to visit! Okay no pics I can't figure out how to get them from my email to this blog. I will post those pics when Michael gets home and can show me how.

One week at a time!

Okay, just a short note, I have 16 more days of school left!! I am more excited than the kids are! I can't wait to sit in front of the pool, and just relax and sleep! Thanks for the book recommendations Becky!! I am always looking for a good summer read! We are looking forward to our move, it looks like we might decide to buy a house again, I don't know how I feel about that. The homes close to base are expensive and are only half finished! So even though it is a 2200 sq ft home only 1000 of it is finished! So 2 bedroom 1 bath, for 150,000. Anyway we will see what they say when we get up there. I would like to live in the newer homes, but they tell us it will be a year before we can get in them. So Boedee if you have any advice I would sure love to hear it :)
Well it is late and I have 2 lunchs and the dishes aren't going to wash themselves! I know it is Mother's Day, but what else can I do! I wish every mom out there a Happy Mother's Day!

Almost missed another week

I can't believe I forgot to wirite yesterday. It has been quite a week. Thursday morning their was a plane crash and a member of our ward was killed in the accident. As you can imagine it has affected our ward very hard. Yesterday we only had sacrament, and it was testimony, it was very touching. Brad will be missed very much, and my heart goes out to Jenn and the girls. It has really made me reflect on the person I am, and how I need to improve so much, we jsut never know when your time will come.
Although it was a very emotional sacrament meeting, I had a moment of I guess you would call it mother's pride. Anthony for the first time ever went up and bore his testimony. It was short and sweet, but I am so proud of him. If you know Anthony you would never expect that from him.
I am on official count down! Only 20 more days of school!!!!!! I told Michael that I will not work full time anytime soon. Actually I am planning on going back to school, and get that Bachelor's Degree. So that is what I am going to be up to when we get up to Rapid City. I hope that this week is quiet and calm. Have a great week.

Time Flies

Most of you probably are thinking that I just stayed in Utah. No we are home, and have been for a long time. I started writing last week but when I walked away the computer Zack attacked and started playing games and I lost the blog.
We had a blast in Utah, we hiked the Y, it has been a long time, and I forgot how steep it was. I was so worried about Zack having an asthma attack, it was dry and cold, optimal for an attack. I brought all the equipment, and medicine. But it was unnecessary. Quite the opposite in fact. He practically ran the whole way without a single cough!! On the other had, Anthony who never has any problems, coughed and wheezed most of the way up, not only that he walked slowly. So now I am thinking that when we do move, Zachary's asthma will be gone, but Anthony might develope it!! How funny. We also went to a dinosaur museum, there at Thanksgiving Point. It was awesome, I was totally impressed! I have never seen life size replicas of dinosaur, and it was cool. We visited friends, and Michael and I discovered IKEA!!!! We took two hours and we had to rush through the last 1/3 of the store! IT IS HUGE! They have childcare facilities, and a restaurant, it is like its own little city. Anyway Michael and I are planning on visiting family again in the fall before we leave for DisneyWorld, and we are bringing the truck. Okay so family is not the primary reason we are going to drive to Salt Lake, just so we can fly from there. So if you get a chance go visit IKEA.
We had a Easter egg hunt, since we had to be on the road on Easter, we hit two different hunts in the valley, one was giving away full size candy bars!! The boys had a blast.
And the best news of all is now my kids now what cousins are!!!! (Sad isn't it) we got to gramma's house and they have instant friends, and it was great!! Just what I remember when I was a kid.
Since Spring break it has been full speed ahead, school is winding down, but when I say that I mean that it is not slowing down but speeding up! I have never been so tired in my life!! Only 34 more days! I hate wishing away time like that but I have never wanted summer to come so quickly! Michael is taking 2 classes, after these two he will only have 2 classes left towards his Masters!! I never thought we would get this close. I don't know what it will be like when he does have that degree! Hopefully it will mean that we can make some changes. Michael wants to be a college professor, that would be good for him. He loves teaching, and is good at it. That is now the way we want to go.
The pics are of our vacation, the one of me is at the 4 corners, and then all the grandkids at Great Grandpa & Grandma Nielsen's home, They have a chair lift that takes them up and down their stairs, and we all took a trip on it. Michael and Zack being eaten by a megaladon. We also stopped and climbed the red rock, down by Moab, and stopped by the cars monument, in Amarillo. We had a blast. We really didn't want to come back to Texas.
I will try to be better at posting, once summer hits I will hopefully be better keeping up with the blog!

SPRING BREAK!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry it has been so long, I have had problems getting onto the blog for some reason, and then I have been so focused on getting through these last couple of weeks just to get to this day! YEAH IT IS OFFICIALLY SPRING BREAK!!! I can't believe how long it took to get here, now the trick is to catch up on 4 months of sleep. I won't be able to write for another week, we are going on vacation and I don't know if I will be able to get ontot he internet. We are in search of some snow. We are heading to Utah, we haven't been to see any family for the last 4 or more years. So we figured we better do it now, we don't know when we will have another chance, with us moving this summer. Any way I wish you all a great and safe spring break, and I will post something as soon as we get back!

Just some pics

This is my thing. I love Lladro. Michael surprised me for Christmas with this sculpture!! I love it, it is one of my favorites. The one I love the most is Cinderlla and he Coach, it is huge, and it only cost's about $30,000.

This was taken on Michael's birthday, they were "Captain Underpants" they were putting on a super-hero preformance for Daddy, along with a bunch of games and other contests.

Here is the fashion part of the party, we had to dress the animal, it is so silly but so much fun!!

Anthony wanted me to put a picture of the cat, this was the Friday before we had to put her down. Even though I don't like having pets I do miss her sitting on the window sill while I do dishes, meowing to please let her in.

It goes so fast!!

Whoops, missed a week. I can't believe how fast my weekends go. I am just trying to catch up on some sleep. Work is going, I am so glad we are going to be moving, I think just working part-time is what works for me. I know Michael likes me working, or rather the money with me working. I do too, last weekend I had a great sessions of retail therapy! Kohl's was having a great sale, and I bought shoes, which is my total weakness, and four or five new outfits for work. I felt so good, especially since that week had been so bad! Even though we did get our orders on Monday, we also had to put our cat down, Michael tested for Tech, and Michaels birthday, and I didn't even get Presidents Day off at school! So anyway I needed that trip to Kohl's, even though I spent most of my paycheck! This last week was better, I totally lost my voice, the kids at school were totally cute, when I told them I had lost my voice, they asked me where it was, and then Gwenyth told me she thought it was in my backyard! The best news of all is that Michael has decided to let the military move us!!!!!! HURRAY!!!!!! Finially he has come to his senses! Now I just have to figure out a way to persuade him that we should sell our van so we don't have to take two vehicles to South Dakota!

I also have to tell you what Michael did for me for Valentines day. He always outdoes what ever I do, so to be honest I don't even try anymore. Anyway he shows up at work with this balloon. And when you hit it, it plays 'Your still the one" All the teachers were just laughing, I have never seen anything like that before. Then we went out to dinner, not a lot since we had gone out the night before on his birthday. I am not a big holiday person. I just do enough to not be considered a scrooge. One day maybe I will organized my time better to where I have time to prepare for a holiday. Well three more weeks till spring break!! Not that I am counting or anything like that!
I pray for a quiet week, with no major surprises!

THE TIME HAS COME!!!!!!

Well I don't know if any of you will believe this, I am sure that I am still in unbelief. Michael actually got orders!! I am so excited, we are going to Ellsworth AFB, in Rapid City, South Dakota. Now before any of you start thinking that ewww is that a good thing, yes it is a great thing. We are so excited about moving. Although this now means that Michael will be deployed, which I am not looking forward to, it also means that we can move closer to family, and to the north!!!! Ellsworth has new homes on the base, and they are so much bigger than the ones here. We now actually have a good chance of having a white Christmas, that the boys have been dreaming about, for the last 5 years!!! Also no more yukky roaches, which the houses here are infesteed with! It is disgusting!
At school today all the teachers and staff were telling me to 'at least try to look sad'. It is bittersweet, I have loved it here, but it is time to move. Maybe it is just the air force bug in me, saying it is time to move. Though I hope that now with this move I will feel a little closer to home.
It has also been a sad day, our kitty who we have had since we have lived here had to be put to sleep today. Though I don't think that she would of lasted through today. It was so weird one day she was fine, and the next she couldn't walk, wouldn't eat, I don't know, I was talking to my dad and he seems to think that it might have been a stroke. Even though I am not a cat person, or a dog person, I did get attached, and so it was a hard day, I am so grateful for Michael, he got off work and took her in. I wouldn't have been able to hold it together. I was surprised how hard Zack took it. I thought Anthony would of been struggling with this. He was always petting her and she always slept on his bed. But he is already looking forward to getting another cat. I really don't know if that is going to happen. I will approach that topic when we get to Ellsworth.
We are going to finish the school year here, and move sometime in July or August. Maybe we will make it a even six years here, and move in August, but I doubt we will be here then!
So thanks for sharing in my news, I am thrilled! I will talk to ya'll in a week

In Rememberance

This week I have spent a lot of time in reflection, remembering our beloved prophet. Then yesterday while I was watching the funeral, several times during the eulogy people mentioned that everyone hs their own memory of the prophet. I guess I would like to add mine.

It was my second year at Ricks College (now BYUI) and Presdient Hinckley came to speak, I was with my dear friend Constance, who wasn't my roommate, but for some reason we ended up sitting next to each other. We got excellent seats they were to the left of the stage, on the side about 5 rows up. His talk, the B's. it was one of the first time he had introduced the B's. After the devotional, Constance and I waved at him, and he looked directly at us and waved back. We were so stunned that of the 15000 students in that auditorium, he would look our way and wave. It was small gesture but it has stuck with me for 10 years. I will never forget that moment. So that is my memory of him.

Michael was on the phone with his dad, who lives in Utah, last Sunday night, and while they were on the phone the news came on and his dad relayed the message to us as he was watching it. I also remember at the last conference his closing remarks, were something like, I have said what I need to say so he bore his testimony of Joseph Smith. I love this church and the working of it, how the succession works, and that it is inspired and not a popularity choice.
As for the rest of the week, work is work, it sure keeps me busy! Thankfully I have great coworkers who make work a lot of fun. Love to ya'll!
