No More Time

This is just going to be a short blog!! I am so exhausted, my Sundays are no longer days that are made up of me taking naps, and relaxing!! Though I know I shouldn't now I am doing things that I didn't get done during the week. Wow!! And yesterday Michael and I got to go to Dallas and did a session at the temple! A Miracle!! It has been a looooonnnnggg time since we have done that! It was awesome! I have truely missed going to the temple!!! So nothing got done yesterday, but that is okay! It was totally worth it. So there is a lot to do today to get ready for this next week. I was so hoping that we would have a snow day on Friday, and although they were saying the worst, it didn't even get below freezing Thursday night! Bummer! I need to get out of Texas!! I would like to have some snow.

New Job

Well I went and did it I got a job! Full Time, the least of what I expected! I am working at the school now, as a kindergarten para! I am super excited, and very surprised. Mrs Darnell the principal, called me up today and said that even though I might be moving she wants someone who is qualified for the job, so there it just falls into my lap!, however this means that I will have to wake up even earlier! Oh my I don't know how that is going to go over! I am not to worried about me getting up, which is going to be hard, but I am worried about how boys are going to handle it! There are too much like me they love to sleep in, like today where I didn't get out of bed until 9am!

Sorry I didn't post yesterday, it was crazy, I had about 7 loads of laundry to fold before our hometeachers came at 2.30 and then we had friends coming over for dinner, along with the missionaries at 5.00 and then to add to the stress when I turned on the over to bake the lasagne our oven wouldn't turn on! How do you like that, how crazy to not have the oven turn on, when does that happen, luckily Mandi lives only a few houses down the street and she was doing a crock pot dinner, so I was able to bake there! Then we sat and visited till 10 pm! so there was just no time to even turn on the computer! Hopefully they can get it fixed soon, what a pain! I wanted to do some baking today, oh well maybe thats a good sign I don't need cinnamon rolls anyway!

So hopefully goes well with the job, I will do my best to keep up on the blog! I want to share this one picture, this is Zachary with his best bud Jesse who just moved to Kentucky, actually I now have the job that was his moms, so thanks Lisa I won't let you down!

Welcome Back

Well here we are again another Sunday!!! Why do the weekdays go so slow while the weekends go so fast! I am loooking at another full week of work! I am beginning to think that they are just going to string me along until the end of the school year. And if you are thinking they wouldn't do that, I will answer you "yes they would!" This school sometimes works in mysterious ways!! At least I do enjoy doing what I am doing! I love being able to work where my kids are, and have the same hours as they do.

Anthony had his school program this week, he was in the "Hakuna Matata" song, and he dressed up as a zebra. It took about 4 hours to get all the duct tape on the sweats, and he wore them for an hour, and then ripped off all the tape, oh the things that we do as moms!! He was so excited to have a part, unfortunately the picture we took during the song didn't turn out but we did get this one.
I am going to be playing for the choir next Sunday and doing a special musical number the Sunday after that, just when I thought that the coast was clear, I hadn't had to play in church since this summer, and there has been so many new people come in, I thought I wouldn't have to do that anymore. But there must be more that I need to learn, I still get terrified of being in front of the congregation, and playing, but one of these days it might get a little easier.
Well I hope ya'll have a great week, I will talk to you soon!!

Here We Go Again

Here are some fo the pics Michael took at the Airshow in Sept. They had such a great time! And I enjoyed that day so much, I hate airshows and so I stayed back and let them have a boys day out! They say I missed out on so many cool things, but I had the best day! Peace and quiet! That is all I need. Anyway these are some of the cuter ones, most of them are with the boys shooting the guns in the planes, so of course I like these ones the best.
Although it only has been two weeks, it feels like the boys have been out of
school for about 2 months!! Tomorrow it is back to the grindstone, alarm clocks,
and homework, and work!! I have been scheduled to work for the next two weeks. So hopefull after that I may have a day off! I just need to not answer the phone.
Also something is coming up that I am absolutely dreading! The SCIENCE PROJECT!! We were supposed to turn in our idea before the break, and of course I couldn't get any solid idea out of Anthony, so nothing has been done for that, we have approximately 3 more weeks, I am trying to put it in Michael's lap, I'll let you know how that goes. If any of you have any suggestions let me know. I have been dreading this for the last 3 years!!!!!
Right now I am in kind of a daze, I hadn't realized (since I am no longer in primary) that the kids start new classes today, and to my amazement Anthony is in Senior Primary now, I don't know why that has struck my so much, it is hard to imagine that I have a child now in Sr. primary. He loves his new class, even though it is the same kids as his last class he is so excited to be in the Valiants! I also think it has a lot to do with the teacher, Anthony does better when he has a guy for a teacher, and Bro Mcdowell is a great guy.

After Chistmas blues

After Christmas

'Twas the week after Christmas, and all through the house Nothing would fit me, not even a blouse.
The cookies I'd nibbled, the eggnog I'd taste At the holiday parties had gone to my waist.

When I got on the scales there arose such a number!
When I walked to the store (less a walk than a lumber).

I'd remember the marvelous meals I'd prepared; The gravies and sauces and beef nicely rared,

The wine and the rum balls, the bread and the cheese And the way I'd never said, "No thank you, please."

As I dressed myself in my husband's old shirt And prepared once again to do battle with dirt

I said to myself, as I only can
"You can't spend a winter disguised as a man!"

So away with the last of the sour cream dip, Get rid of the fruit cake, every cracker and chip

Every last bit of food that I like must be banished 'Till all the additional ounces have vanished.

I won't have a cookie - not even a lick.
I'll want only to chew on a long celery stick.

I won't have hot biscuits, or corn bread, or pie, I'll munch on a carrot and quietly cry.

I'm hungry, I'm lonesome, and life is a bore But isn't that what January is for?

Unable to giggle, no longer a riot.
Happy New Year to all and to all a good diet!

Welcome all

Welcome to my own little world! I have seen so many of my friends start a blog, and so I have decided to get on teh wagon and join in. It will be helpful to all those who are trying to keep up with us. For as many of you know we have told everyone that we will move from Texas soon, and that was two years ago, and we are still here.
I have also thought this might be a way to keep a journal. Since whatever gets on the internet seems to stay there for a very long time.
Anyway, I am looking forward to getting back to work, I thought I would never say that, but I am getting a little worried that if I don't work soon, I don't think I would want to work again! The boys are having a blast, doing who knows what!! They are always playing some sort of war going on. I love having them so close in age, they are the best of friends and keep each other out of too much trouble. How I wish I could stay home on Monday to just have some peace and quiet. Maybe in two weeks I will take a day off. I just have to make sure the phone is unplugged so I won't answer the phone. Well I hope you enjoy this little blog of mine. I am exicted to be able to keep everyone up to date on all that is going on with us here in Texas.
