Why Mormons build Temples

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-x_-TQivCx8

This video is put out by mormon.org, and is absolutely wonderful, I think this is what the church leaders meant when they have said use the internet to share about the church

Procrasti . . . I'll do it later!

Okay so I keep telling myself I will post as soon as I download the pictures, then I find out that my camera needs new batteries, and thanks to modern technology, the boys are always needing batteries, so needless to say i need to buy new batteries. So please be patient with me while I figure out my life, and try to prioritize, so eventually I will be a good mom, and post those Christmas and basketball and so on and so forth. Right now the one quote that keeps on popping into my head is the one about that road and good intentions. . . I'm sure ya'll know the rest. As for the activities, we work, I volunteer, I sleep and of course eat!! That is pretty much my day, Michael is trying to get me to go snow mobiling this weekend, I've told him that he can go but I really have no interest. Yes after complaining for the last 6 years that I couldn't wait for lotsa' cold weather and lotsa' snow, I'm ready for hot weather again! I won't officially say that I miss Texas, but when I hear that it is 80 degrees, I find myself daydreaming about shorts, and tanning. Don't get me wrong I really like it here, it is so beautiful, but I just wish it were a bit warmer!!!!! Thankfully yesterday and today were in the 60's, but snow is supposedly in the forecast. My mom used to say that the only time I was ever happy is if i am complaining. So I must be very happy, right!!!! Okay so I will get those batteries and post a marathon of pictures soon I promise

Flying Time!

Okay so where has February gone? I can't believe how fast this month went! But I have some great news! We have The big room done in the basement!! Yes the walls the primer the paint and finially the carpet is going in today! So I will be posting the pictures of that tonight when i get them. I can't hardly wait! Really with the buisiness of our household, the fact that it has only taken Michael 4 months is really amazing! So that is what has taken my weekends. And I am officially blaming the 1:00pm church slot, for not blogging sooner! It totally throws off my days! So we are just plugging along trying to stay ahead of ourselves. Today also marks the last day of basketball season. I wouldn't be lying if I said I was sad, on the other hand, it is just ending as both of the boys are just starting to really get good. So I think that we aer going to put a basketball standard in the driveway, the cul-de-sac would be perfect for this. So the pics of the basement will be posted by tomorrow.

Toothless Grin

This one is for my sister, who wanted to see what Zack looked like when I explained to her that he had lost all his fron teeth. And has been singing all I want for Christmas is my two front teeth. He is such a crack up!

Mamma Mia

Okay I haven't done this before but I just saw the most feel good movie! I don't know if anyone else feels this way about musicals, but they make me smile. So I rented Mamma Mia! I love ABBA!! Thanks to a roomie @ Ricks! I knew all but one of the songs. Michael turned to me in the middle of the movie and rolled his eyes. But the main reason I was chuckling was the obsurbity (sp?) of Meryl Streep singing!!! It's not her strength! So now that I am back on a ABBA kick, now I want to go to Greece!!!

Clouds have lifted, figuratively

Sorry about that last post, though I have been feeling down, things are better, probably because my first enrichment night is done and over with. (hehe) Thanks to all those who helped me out, I really couldn't have done it without my commitee!!!!
Last Monday we went up to the mountains, to Mystic Miner ski lodge. And no I didn't go skiing, however they have this great tube lift!! We didn't have to climb up the mountain, you sat in a tube and it lifted you up just like a ski lift, and dumped you off at the top, and then you choose one of 7 different runs, and just tubed down. It was great!!!! The weather was amazing, about 50 degrees, and there was a ton of snow!! We must have gone down about 50 times! The lines were a bit long at the start of the day, but by 11:30 there were maybe 15 poeple. We skipped lunch and just went down over and over and over until about 3:00. I am posting a video, and some pics.

January Dumps

So here it is the middle of January and whether it is just because January is known for being the most depressing month of the year, or maybe because it has almost been five years, (on the 31st of January) since my mom passed away (and her birthday would have been last Monday). I am just struggling to get out of this slump that I am in. Right now the only friend I have is chocolate. Not really but it is the only thing right now that makes me feel better. Execpt when I put real clothes on, something besides my pj's and sweatshirt. I feel like I am just going through the motions. Michael and I have made a new years resolution to become 'financially' secure. We watch Suze Orman every week. So we are tightening up the belts and really looking at our bills and finances. We decided to cancel our next cruise. (that was very hard!!!) So here we are getting our bills paid off and last Friday out fridge goes out. So it was off to Sears, (well Michael was I took the boys to their basketball games) and he bought a new fridge, and even though it was a really good deal, just one more bill, then our beloved van is showing its age. It almost has 100,000 miles, and there is a leak, among other things, I just don't know how much longer it has. So fast as we can get the bills paid off, I can see more mounting just around the corner. Have I ever mentioned how much I hate new years resolutions!! Which is why I make a point, most years, never to make any. Then to top it off, the one thing that I know helps me to feel better, I haven't been able to do. I love going to the gym, I go every day for about 90 minutes, two weeks ago I hurt my foot, and I haven't been able to put much weight on it. I know I should go to the Dr. but I hate going there! I didn't mean to make this post a pity post, but it has just been one of those months. SOOO soon this month will pass and hopefully so will these feelings. Thanks to all those who listen

Merry Christmas

So lately I have been thinking, boy people are sure slackers this time of the year! I am complaining to myself that no one is making a new post. Then to my wonderous eyes to appear, the date of my last post!! So to all of you I am sorry, for thinking those thoughts because I am really bad!! Christmas was great this year. Or as Anthony and Zachary told us "this is the best Christmas ever!!" Which began at 4:45 AM!! We Held them off till 5, but then Anthony found his flashlight and they went hunting, so we new it was time to intervene! The only things that weren't wrapped were the too kick and go scooters, which of course were to big to be wrapped. Well Santa got the hint and brought me a wii. Yes it was gifted to me, not the boys. I think that he must of thought that I needed some leverage when it comes to getting the boys off! I can always tell them it is mine!! So we now have Rock Band, and not to toot my horn, but I am GOOD!!! So now all I need is the Wii fit to work off all that I have eaten today! We are so blessed. At this time of year I am so grateful for the job that Michael has, and for the boys who every night in their prayers ask Heavenly Father to help them remember the true meaning of Christmas. It has made me realize what we are really celebrating, when you hear it out of the mouth of your children it really hits home. I wish all of you out there a very Merry Christmas!! And pray for all of you to have a wonderful holiday!

ps I don't know why everything is underlined I hit a button and don't know how to stop it.

Tis' the Season

Okay I have had a ton of requests for my new address. I will get to that tonight, I hope. Anyway if I don't I will be sending out my letter in just a few days, and it is in there. otherwise it will automatically be sent to my new house if you put the old address. I hope. I know i need to make a big post. though not much has been going on. You would think that with the busy holiday season life would be full of new experiences. But that just isn't the case. I guess the biggest headache just happened last night. Some dum dum ran into the back end of Michael's truck, he is so upset! I would be too. At least the person who did it came and told him, and so it won't go on our insurance. It isn't too bad, the light is busted and there is a small dent in the bumber. SO he can still drive.
